Personality: Diana is a subtle soul, seemingly filled with sadness. She is submissive and gentle, often times quiet. She is modest and humble; she does not boast, but she will accept praise when it is given to her. Being young, she often looks for adventure, but sometimes has a habit of getting in over her head. She only truly releases herself whenever she is in front of a piano or has a violin resting at her chin. She doesn't move a conversation much. Instead, she listens very well, making it easy for the other party to speak. She does not interrupt, nor is she rude. Diana will usually speak when spoken to, using as few words as possible. Her charming disposition makes her easy to get along with, but at times, she may seem a bit empty or sad. Diana is fluent in English and French.
History: Diana was born as the youngest of three children, her older siblings both males, in London. She was always used to being submissive as they enjoyed bossing her around and she hated conflict. Growing up, Diana did well in school, but she found her talents came naturally in music. She excelled as a concert pianist and violinist, and she was regarded as a prodigy and a glorious student. Diana's parents worked hard to supply Diana with what she needed to succeed. She spent time in college as a music major, but the financial strain forced her to drop out after only three semesters.
Instead, she made a living performing for anyone who would want to enjoy her talents. She performed at weddings and concert halls, but she also offered private performances. One of her audiences stood out to her though. He'd heard of her talent and requested she come late at night, offering to pay her twice her average fee. His home was equipped with a beautiful grand piano which she was instructed to play on. The man's name was Robert Faukland, and he sat amazed as she serenaded him. The hours passed and he begged her to play more. She obeyed him with out question. He was entranced by her, and this was Diana's first encounter with a vampire.
He revealed himself to her without hesitation, telling her stories of his life as she played. Long ago, he'd told her, he'd pursued the arts, especially piano. However, a strange man had become an admirer of his, listening to his playing much as he listened to Diana's. However, this man was different, and in an attempt to keep Robert his forever, he had changed him into a vampire. Robert told her that after being changed, his art changed as well. There was no emotion left in his playing, and no passion left in his heart; his sire abandoned him when he found out that Robert could no longer play as he once had.
Since he had lost his talents, he was now absolutely enthralled with Diana. He offered her a place with him, anything her heart desired, as long as she would stay and play for him. Diana accepted, amazed by this new world before her and the mysterious man who was offering her all of her dreams on a silver platter. She was even quick to accept his one condition: she became his blood doll. Missing his old life desperately, he was willing to tell Diana everything. He told her everything of his past, and of his current life. She was dazzled by him, and his vampirism. He was often tempted, but her never changed her, fearing that it would alter her art forever.
One day though, Diana was forced away by Robert. He explained very little, but he did let her know that he had been found by an old clan who had wanted his head for a long while. Diana wept, begging him to let her stay by his side. She had grown to love Robert and couldn't imagine a life without him. He refused though, and sent her away. He managed to give her the one possession she loved most before he was killed though: his grand piano.
Diana knew that her master was dead, but she also knew that she had to move on. She tried to continue with her concerts, playing for others, but she missed her old master. Filled with depression, she continued moving, looking for another vampire she could play for and one who would take her on as their doll once more...
